We are looking for a passionate and bubbly Reception Shift Leader to join our Front Office team.

As a Reception Shift Leader at the Merton Hotel Jersey, you will play a vital role in delivering a great experience to all our guests. You will welcome them in a warm and friendly manner and ensure they have an outstanding stay, contributing to an overall exceptional experience from arrival to departure. What will I be doing as a receptionist Reception Shift Leader:
Providing an excellent welcome and service to our guests
Assisting guests with checking in and out of the hotel as well as with hotel and product knowledge
Supervising and motivating the reception team to maintain efficient standards of service
Ensuring that all customers receive an excellent level of service at all times through constant on the job coaching and training
Supervision of the Front Desk to ensure a quality reception service and the maintenance of standards throughout your shift.
To be responsible for all the administrative functions associated with your shift including responsibility for all monies and cashiering duties.
To liaise closely with other hotel departments throughout your shift.

What are we looking for?
Someone who has a positive attitude and someone who makes our guests smile.
At least 2 years reception work in a similar hotel environment ideally with supervisory experience.
Someone who has a competent level of IT proficiency. Knowledge of Protel (PMS) is desirable, although training will be provided
Self-motivation and be able to motivate the team
Experience coaching and mentoring team members to develop the team skills
The ability to take extra responsibility when needed and be able to work under pressure
Excellent Customer Service experience and the confidence to resolve customer enquiries effectively
Excellent written and spoken English with good communication skills
Someone who has great communication skills and has fluent English, both verbal and written (bilingualism is highly desirable).
