Food is at the heart of The Farmhouse, an award-winning boutique hotel and restaurant set in extensive grounds on the beautiful island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

We are currently seeking a skilled p√Ętissier to join our kitchen brigade and take responsibility for the preparation of mouth-watering cakes, pastries, desserts, biscuits and breads with meticulous attention to detail, creativity and innovation.

As in any kitchen, teamwork and communication skills are of paramount importance, as well as the ability to work unsupervised and handle pressure.

The role will include taking responsibility for stock management as well as the ability to work within a budget. The successful candidate must have a sound working knowledge of special dietary requirements in order to produce gluten, dairy and meat free dishes, and will be expected to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and food safety management.

The starting salary, based on a 5 day working week, will be dependent on relevant experience, and will be reviewed after a 3 month trial period. Please note that we will only consider applicants interested in a long-term position. Accommodation can be provided with WiFi and laundry facilities.
