An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Head Housekeeper to join our team. The Merton Resort is the largest hotel complex in the Channel Islands, featuring leisure facilities and an entertainment offering, which are unmatched by any other hotel in Jersey. Along with 286 bedrooms and 28 suites, the resort offers a choice of six restaurants, cafes and bars.

Reporting to the Resort Manager, we are looking for an Executive Head Housekeeper who can confidently deliver exceptional customer service to our guests and lead the resort’s biggest department. You will have a genuine pride and passion for what you do, with the ability to build rapport and long-term relationships with guests. The role requires a great team player, adaptable and with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

As the Executive Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for and supervise work at all levels of the operation to ensure hotel guestrooms, public space, associate areas and staff accommodation are clean and well maintained. The role includes full participation in the Duty Management of the hotel.

As the ideal candidate for this exceptional business:
•You are a highly experienced, hardworking and dedicated Executive Housekeeper with experience of leading a large Housekeeping team.
•You have great time management skills so you can juggle your many duties
•You have great attention to detail to ensure rooms are spic and span and well-serviced and that equipment is stored safely
•You have Health & Safety knowledge and the ability to train staff on the use of hazardous cleaning materials
•You are self-motivated, adaptable, an excellent team motivator and team builder
•You are effective at cost control, keeping laundry and other items within budget
